It's the 6th hour into our 30 hour famine. The kids are holding up pretty good, but one of them just said they are starting to get hungry. It is almost 11 PM and I think it's about time for lights out.
This evening we had a praise and worship service and learned about prayer & fasting. We also watched "Fireproof." We broke the youth group into pairs of 2 (we have 7 participants, so one group has 3). During their free time tomorrow, they have been challenged to develop a skit that will be performed at our 7 PM worship service tomorrow night (Saturday).
I wish more of our youth could have participated, but many of them had to work tonight.
Our plans for tomorrow include commuinty service projects, Bible study, games, and a movie. Hopefully the whole church will come out to our worship service at 7 PM and support the kids. The famine will be over at 11 PM tomorrow. The kids are already looking forward to their pancake break-fast they will be eating tomorrow night.
